Adriane Berg - TV & Radio Educator on Aging & Longevity

   Adriane G. Berg is one of the most professionally credentialed educators on radio, television and at the podium. An attorney and expert in aging and longevity, Berg brings a practical, informal voice to topics shrouded in jargon and complexity.

   An inspiring "infoprenuer," Berg is creator of two enterprises devoted to the dissemination of information in the areas of longevity and aging as they relate to housing, health, personal finance, work/balance, and leisure. She is creator of the Wealthbuilder Newsletter, devoted to investor education and now in its ninth year. Wealthbuilder also produces seminars, training and marketing concepts regarding aging and adult life and, under Berg's oversight, created a 50th anniversary event for the Empire State Building in conjunction with the U.S Treasury.

   Berg has acted as consultant to numerous financial firms and social service organizations, including New York Life of Greater New Jersey and Hunter College's Brookdale Center on Aging. She has been the spokesperson for the National Coupon Association and Penn Pacific Insurance. She is a founder of the Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and served as Chair of the New York State Bar Association's Subcommittee on Estate Planning. She was recently named to the U.S. Treasury Greater New York Committee for Savings Awareness and is a former board member of the International Association for Financial Planners, among many professional organizations. She holds a J.D. from the New York University School of Law, where she was an Editor of the Law Review. Berg is currently the financial expert for Trend Sight, a business research arm for companies seeking to attract the baby boomer and active adult market. TrendSight is the creation of renowned entreprenuer Mary Furlong, creator of Senior Net.

   A renowned author, Berg has written 13 books on personal finance, including her most recent book, How Not To Go Broke at 102: Achieving Everlasting Wealth. 2) The 7 Changes of Longevity
   This presentation covers the 7-mega trends caused by worldwide ageing: housing, work, health, money, relevance, family and ethics. It is a fascinating keynote filled with eye-opening data from the discovery of the Methuselah gene, which will eventually be up for sale, but by whom? To the need for intergenerational housing instead of bunker communities to warehouse the disposable aging, to the development of road systems that will allow us to drive past 80. The audience is riveted with the futurism of longevity, and business people are left popping with ideas on how to make their business longevity friendly.

3) Successful Aging and Relevancy in an Ageist World
   Baby boomers will lose their power simply by the fact of aging in an ageist society. Although most of us accept ageism as a fact of our culture and engage in it ourselves, the full impact is not clear until we are discriminated against, often without our awareness.
